The BKMEA also asked its members to ensure safety of workers.

Factories remained shut from July 20 as a curfew was imposed across the country from midnight past July 19 due to the clashes across the country over quota reform protests, starting from July 16.

All export-oriented readymade garment factories reopened on July 24 after a four-day closure.
