A fisherman was killed after being struck by lightning at Komolpur village in Dumuria upazila in Khulna Sunday morning.
The deceased is Obaidullah Gazi, son of Delwar Hossain Gazi of the village.
According to locals, a thunderbolt struck Obaidullah when he went to Komolpur village for fishing around 8am, leaving him dead.
Sukanta Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Dumuria Police Station, confirmed the matter.
