At least nine flights destined to Bangladesh were cancelled and two other flights bound for Dubai were delayed on Wednesday as unprecedented rainfall and flooding sent the United Arab Emirates into complete chaos, causing sufferings to several thousand passengers.

The UAE authorities聽 informed the Bangladesh authorities about the changes several hours before the flight schedules.


Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam, executive director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, told 抖阴精品 that nine flights from the UAE were cancelled, while two flights from Bangladesh were delayed.

He said that the airlines were updating their passengers about the changes in flight schedules and arranging due services for the passengers who had already reached the airport and became stranded.

According to the Dhaka airport officials, the Air Arabia Airline cancelled five of its flights to Dhaka until Thursday morning, while Emirates Airlines and Fly Dubai cancelled two flights each.

The Dhaka airport officials also said that one each flight from Biman Bangladesh Airlines and US-Bangla Airlines were delayed for the same reason.
