A fire that broke out at a hotel near Karwan Bazar kitchen market in the capital on Saturday was brought under control at about 10:40am.
The fire originated at the generator room of Hotel La Vinci at about 10:15am, said Talha Bin Zasim, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense media cell.
He said that six units of fire service worked to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he said, adding that no casualty was reported so far.
