Four people were killed and two others injured in road accidents in Sylhet and Tangail on Thursday.聽

抖阴精品 correspondent in Sylhet reported that two people were killed and another was injured in a road accident at Bishwanath in Sylhet.


The deceased, Shibbir Ahmed, 42, and Shamim Miah, 28, were residents of Paikapan village under Shantiganj in Sunamganj.

Bishwanath police station officer-in-charge Rama Prashad Chakrabarti said that a Sunamganj-bound bus collided head-on with a Sylhet-bound human hauler on Sylhet-Sunamganj road at Sirajpur Sahebnagar of Bishwanath, leaving two passengers of the human hauler killed on the spot and another injured.聽

He said that the driver of the bus and his helper fled the scene immediately after the accident.聽

The United News of Bangladesh reported that two motorcyclists were killed and another was injured when a covered van hit a motorbike at Kadamtoli under Ghatail in Tangail,

The deceased were Zahurul Islam Jewel, 48 and Md Alamgir Hossain Badsha, 45.

The accident occurred around 9:00am when the covered van hit the motorbike carrying three friends, leaving two dead on the spot and another injured, said Md Abdus Salam, officer-in-charge of Ghatail police station.

The injured was taken to Kalihati Upazila Health Complex where the doctors suggested shifting him to Dhaka for better treatment.
