Law Reporters鈥� Forum on Friday elected its 12-member executive committee with Ashraf-Ul-Alam as its president and Moneruzzaman Mission as general secretary for the 2024-2025 term.
Ashraf-Ul-Alam is a Special Correspondent of Ajker Patrika while Moneruzzaman Mission is a Senior Staff Correspondent of 抖阴精品.
The names of the new committee of the forum were declared following its annual general meeting and an election held at its office on the Supreme Court Bar Association premises.
The forum鈥檚 senior members and journalists Shwapan Das Gupta, Saleh Uddin and Tofayel Hossain conducted the election as election commissioners.
Hasan Zabed was elected vice-president of the LRF while Alamgir Hossain was elected joint secretary.
The other office bearers included Alamgir Hossain of Daily Jugantor (joint secretary), Monjur Hossain of Channel 24 (treasurer), SM Noor Mohammad of Ajker Patrika (organising secretary), Zaker聽 Hossain of ntv online.com (office secretary), Habibul Islam Habib of News 24 (publicity and publication secretary), and Zabed聽 Akhter of ATN news (training and welfare secretary).
The executive committee members are Shamima Akhtar of Desh TV, MA Naser of Channel 24 and Utpol Roy of Desh Rupanttor.
The outgoing president Shamima Akhtar presided over the AGM while outgoing general secretary Habibur Rahman conducted the programme in presence of forum members.
President of Dhaka Reporters Unity Syed Sukkur Ali Shuvo, former DRU president Elias Hossain, most of the founder members and former presidents of Law Reporters Forum including Kazi Abdul Hannan, Shahiduzzaman, Ali Asgor Shawpan, M Badiuzzaman, Ashutosh Sarkar, Wakil Ahmed Hiran, Mashhudul Haque, present committee leaders and members of the forum were also present at the AGM.
A total of 69 voters, out of 100, cast their votes in the election.
