
A case has been filed against 84 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, over the killing of a 13-year-old child, Tamim Shikdar, in the Rampura area of the capital.
The victim鈥檚 grandmother Mosammat Kahinur filed an application to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Afnan Somi in this regard.
The court has asked the Rampura Police Station to record the FIR after taking the deposition of the complainant.
The other accused in the case include former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, DMP former commissioner Habibur Rahman, former lawmaker Md Wakil Uddin, former state minister for information and broadcasting Md Ali Arafat and former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud.
In the case, it was mentioned that the police fired on a rally of students and ordinary people at 4:30 pm on July 19. At that time, the victim was shot as he tried to cross the road. Tamim was taken to Farazi Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
But the police didn鈥檛 record any complaints at that time.
Later, Tamim was buried in Rampura Molla Bari Bazar graveyard.
