
A book trader Anis Rahman was allegedly picked up by the detective branch of police on Tuesday morning in front of Loharphul Jame Masjid in the capital’s Gendaria area.
Anis, 36, remained missing for more than 36 hours of his disappearance and the family filed a general dairy with the Gendaria police station on Wednesday.
The victim’s brother Md Liton said that he was picked up by some people identifying as DB police in front of Loharpul Jame Masjid at about 6:15am on Tuesday.
‘They called my sister-in-law and asked to contact Gendaria police station. We neither find him at Gendaria police station nor in the DB office on Minto road,’ Liton told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ·.
He said that he went there to see his warehouse adjacent to the mosque.
Gendaria police station acting officer-in-charge Noor Alam Siddiqui said that they had already informed all police stations across the country.
‘We will hold meeting with high officials in this regard. We also asked the victim families to come to the police station for more details,’ he added.
