Detectives in a drive arrested Awami League leader and former lawmaker Abdus Sobhan Miah Golap from Tejkunipara in Dhaka on Sunday.
A DB official requesting anonymity confirmed the arrest. Golap was arrested around 2:00pm in a case filed against him, the DB official said.
Golap was the former lawmaker for Madaripur-3 constituency. He is publicity and publications secretary of Awami League.
