Aricha-Kazirhat route suffers 7.30hrs delay
The ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after 10.30 hours’ suspension due to dense fog.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation Paturia Ghat deputy general manager Nasir Mahmud Chowdhury said that the ferry movement on the Paturia-Daulatdia river route was suspended at 12.00am Saturday due to poor visibility as the dense fog blanketed the river route.
The ferry movement started at 10.30am when the dense fog disappeared, he added.
Meanwhile, the ferry movement on the Aricha-Kazirhat route in the Jamuna River resumed after 7.30 hours due to dense fog.
BIWTC Aricha Ghat manager Md Abdullah said that the ferry movement on the Aricha-Kazirhat river route was suspended at 1.30am Saturday due the dense fog. The ferry movement started at 9.00am when the dense fog disappeared.
