Earlier on Monday, police arrested Majid, ex-lawmaker from Habiganj-2 constituency (Baniachong- Ajmiriganj), in Farmgate area of Dhaka and handed over to the Baniachong police station.

Police said that the former lawmaker is the second accused in a case over the killing of nine people during the anti-government movement on August 5 last year.

Moreover, Majid was an accused in another case over the murder of Ripon Shil who was killed during the movement.
