
The suspended Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations are going to resume on September 11.
A new schedule of the exams was published on Thursday which shows that the exams will be completed on October 23, two months later than its original schedule.
The education ministry submitted a proposal to the chief adviser Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday for resuming the HSC and equivalent exams from September 11.
Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee chair professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar told 抖阴精品 that the chief adviser gave his approval on Thursday.
Following the approval the new schedule was published on Dhaka Education Board website same day, he added.
Amid the recent student protests, the authorities had previously suspended the HSC and equivalent exams for all 11 boards from July 18 to August 10 in phases.
The exams then were rescheduled to be held between August 11 and September 18.
Later on August 7 the government again postponed the exams for unavoidable reasons.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar earlier informed 抖阴精品 that some question papers of the exams had been damaged which were kept at various police stations across the country during the protests.
The exams, which were originally scheduled to be held between June 30 and August 21, are now facing further delays.
During the protests, the government announced the indefinite closure of all primary, secondary, higher secondary and tertiary level educational institutions in phases between July 16 and 20.
Inter Services Public Relations Directorate issued a press release on the night of August 5 saying that all educational institutions would be reopened from August 6.
The announcement came hours after Sheikh Hasina resigned as prime minister and fled to India amid mass uprising led by student protesters.
The ministries of primary and mass education and education, however, issued separate office orders to resume academic activities at all educational institutions from August 14 and 18 respectively.
