Bangladesh have been drawn in Group A in the 45-team AFC Under-20 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers to be held across 10 separate venues from September 21 to 29, confirmed an AFC media release on Thursday.

In the group stage fixtures, Bangladesh will take on Syria on September 21 before facing Guam, hosts Vietnam and Bhutan, on September 23, 27, and 29, respectively.


The participating teams will be competing in 10 groups, and the winners of each group and the five best second-place finishers will advance to the finals to be held in China from February 6 to 23 next year.

However, in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers tournament, Bangladesh have been pitted in Group B of the 43-team competition to be held in 10 venues from October 19 to 27.

Bangladesh will play hosts Cambodia on October 19 before facing the Philippines, Macau, and Afghanistan on October 23, 25, and 27, respectively, in their group fixtures. The participating teams were divided into 10 groups.

The group winners and five best runners-up finishers will advance to the finals to be held in Saudi Arabia from April 3 to 20 in 2025.
