
Prime Bank Foundation on Saturday awarded scholarships to 234 underprivileged meritorious students under its Education Support Programme.
Prime Bank Foundation, a wing of Prime Bank PLC, held its 17th scholarship awarding ceremony of its Education Support Programme at Golf Garden, Army Golf Club in the capital Dhaka on the day.
The Education Support Programme was launched in 2007, to offer scholarships to academically gifted but financially disadvantaged students across 64 districts to pursue their graduation level studies.
To date, 4,242 students have benefited from the programme. This year, 234 new students were awarded scholarships at the ceremony.
Azam J Chowdhury, chairman of Prime Bank Foundation, was present as chief guest and Rasheda K Chowdhury, member of advisory committee of the Education Support Programme, was a special guest at the event
Tanjil Chowdhury, chairman of Prime Bank PLC, and Hassan O Rashid, chief executive officer of Prime Bank PLC, among others, attended the ceremony.
