Leaders of the Rastra Sanskar Andolan, a partner of the Ganatantra Mancha, on Friday at a discussion in Dhaka called on all opposition political parties to wage movements to restore democratic rule in the country.

The party organised the discussion at the National Press Club on the issue of reforms of the government system to stop politics of aggression and fascism.

The chief coordinator of the party, Hasnat Quaiyum, chaired the discussion.

Hasnat Quaiyum said that without reforms of the constitution and the ruling system it would not be possible to restore democracy and build a democratic Bangladesh.

The ruling Awami League had established fascist rule in the country with the help of the Indian Modi government and it seized voting rights of the people of Bangladesh, Hasnat Quaiyum said.

He called on all the opposition political parties to wage movements against the government to compel it to resign from power.

Organising secretary of Rastra Sanskar Andolan Imran Emon read out the keynote paper in the discussion where he said that the Awami League government held a one-sided general election and most of the people of the country rejected it.

Central leader of the party, Hasib Uddin Hossain, said that their party wanted to establish such a patriotic government in the country that would establish rights of the people of the country.

Another central leader Faridul Haque said that the ruling Awami League was remaining in power without consent of the people with the grace of the Indian Modi government.

Central leaders of the party Preetom Das and Saifullah Haider also spoke at the discussion.
