Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia addressed a rally at Naya Paltan in Dhaka on Wednesday, after about six and a half years as she was freed on Tuesday, a day after fall of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina.
The recorded address of the three-time ex-prime minister Khaleda Zia was played at the rally where she thanked the youths who were involved in the struggle and made ‘impossible things possible’ – the fall of Sheikh Hasina.
The recorded video shows that she was addressing from a place equipped with medical equipment. The BNP leader has been taking treatment staying at her Gulshan residence.
Terming the young protesters ‘heroes’, she said ‘I am honouring the new generation, thanking them.’
She called on the people to build the nation on the basis of skill, talent, knowledge and democratic values.
