Rajshahi University former economics professor Mohammad Ali joined the Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank as chairman, said a RUKUB press release on Wednesday.
Professor Mohammad Ali took the charge on Tuesday. He was appointed for the post for the next three years, the press release added.
Born in 1958 in Pabna, Professor Mohammad Ali earned a master鈥檚 degree in economics from Rajshahi University, and a PhD degree from the University of Manchester.
He started professional career as a lecturer at the Chittagong University in 1982. In 1985, he joined the Rajshahi University economics department, and retired in 2023.
He also worked at different public and private universities, and also held different administrative positions.
He is also the author of several books and has noticeable publications and researches.
