AB Bank won awards for excellence in Mastercard Business (Financial Inclusion) and Excellence in Mastercard Debit Business (Domestic) 2023-24 on Saturday, says a press release.
AB Bank is the only bank to win an award on financial inclusion this year. The sixth edition of the awards celebrated the outstanding contributions of organisations in the banking, payments and fintech sectors in Bangladesh.
Managing director and CEO of AB Bank Tarique Afzal received this honour on behalf of the bank.
Governor of Bangladesh Bank Ahsan H Mansur was present as chief guest and acting deputy chief of mission at the US Embassy in Dhaka Trishita Maula was present as guest of honour at the programme.
Country manager of Mastercard Syed Mohammad Kamal and additional managing director of AB Bank Syed Mizanur Rahman along with other officials were also present on that occasion.
