Md Nazrul Islam has joined Janata Bank PLC as deputy managing director, said a press release.
Before the promotion, he served as general manager of Sonali Bank PLC.
He started his career at Sonali Bank as a senior officer (financial analyst) in 1995.
He obtained bachelors in accounting (honours) and post-graduation in the same subject from the University of Dhaka. Later, he obtained MBA in finance and banking.
He is a diplomaed associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh.
