The concluding and certificate distribution ceremony of the first ten batch completing the ‘Digital Skills for Students’ training programme under ‘Enhancing Digital Government and Economy Project’ organised by central computer centre of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology was held at the auditorium of the university on Friday.

The vice-chancellor of KUET, Professor Mohammad Mashud, presided over the event, says a press release.


The EDGE Project director Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain, head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering Professor MMA Hashem, director of Institute of Information and Communication Technology Ashraful G Bhuiyan, chairman of CCC and ICT cell and EDGE training co-ordinator of KUET Md Arafat Hossain were present as special guests at the programme.

Vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Mohammad Mashud, said, ‘This training programme will play a very important role in building skilled manpower. We will work with maximum dedication to make the government’s effort to create efficient manpower a success.’

Among the students, Sabrina Parveen Lima, Mohammad Ashraful Rahman, Manik Matabbar spoke at the event.

Besides, trainers, including head of department of Mechatronics Engineering Mohiuddin Ahmad, West Zone Power Distribution Company chief executive engineer, system analyst, Md Mosharraf Hossain and Digital Biz Institute chief executive officer Mehdi Hasan Prince spoke at the programme.

The vice-chancellor of KUET, Professor Mohammad Mashud, and guests distributed certificates among 221 people who have successfully passed various courses under the training programme.
