Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology organised an introduction meeting for new undergraduate students of the 2024-25 academic year on Saturday.
The event was held at BUET central auditorium where around 2,000 people, including guardians and students, participated, said a press release.
BUET's vice-chancellor Professor Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman was present as chief guest and pro-vice-chancellor Professor Abdul Hasib Chowdhury was special guest.
The meeting was conducted by registrar Professor Nayeb Md Golam Zakaria and presided over by director of student welfare Professor AKM Masud.
The ceremony was attended by deans of faculties, heads of departments, directors of institutes, centres, offices and directorates, hall provosts, teachers, students and guardians.
