A traffic constable was critically injured after being crushed between two buses at Jatrabari area in the capital on Thursday.
The injured, Md Mithun, 42, works in traffic department鈥檚 Wari division.
He was crushed between two buses of Turag Paribahan at around 2:30pm.
Jatrabari police station assistant sub-inspector Shahidul Islam said that the accident occurred while Mithun was on duty at Jatrabari Shaheed Farooq Road in the afternoon, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College hospital, he added, mentioning that he was undergoing treatment at emergency department of the hospital.
Immediately after the incident, two buses were seized and the driver was arrested, added the police official.
The DMCH residential doctor Alauddin said, 鈥榃e have done some tests on him and the symptoms of his injury will be known after the test report comes.鈥�
However, his condition was critical, he added.
