
Daffodil Polytechnic Institute’s diploma engineering students held ‘Project Fest 2024’ with innovative projects at the Daffodil Plaza in the capital on Saturday.
The day-long event displayed more than 40 different projects made by students of electrical, electronics and computer departments of the institution.
The students displayed different projects of solutions to many problems such as driver safety, road safety, smart farming and others.
The event was inaugurated by the FBBCI Innovation and Research Centre chief executive officer Bikarna Kumar Ghosh.
Bikarn Kumar expressed that students not only needed academic education but also ability to apply their creativity to address real-life issues effectively.
He also said that the projects developed by the students were exceptionally impressive.
‘Almost all projects had the potential to effectively tackle the challenges of contemporary life and make it easier,’ he added.
The BCSIR Rajshahi Laboratories director Md Salim Khan, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority deputy secretary Md Mokhtar Ahmed, Daffodil Family CEO Mohammad Nuruzzaman, and Daffodil Polytechnic Institute principal KM Hasan Ripon were present at the event.
Guests expressed hope that the projects and innovative initiatives made by the students of Daffodil Polytechnic will play a significant role in solving some major issues the country may face in the distant future.
