Turkish naval ship ‘TCG Kinaliada’ arrived in the Chattogram Port Tuesday morning in a move to increase the ‘visibility of the Turkish Naval Forces’ and improve bilateral relations between Bangladesh and °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð.

Captain M Asaduzzaman, chief staff of the port welcomed the ship along with the Turkish high commissioner to Bangladesh and navy forces.


TCG Kinaliada (F-514) has been on an expedition to the Far East, visiting 24 ports in 20 countries during its four-and-a-half-month journey with 152 members, including crew members and officials, according to a press release.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð and Bangladesh, the ship will stay in the port for three days, read the release.

Commissioned in 2019, the ‘TCG Kinaliada’ is the last ADA Class navy ship, built by the Istanbul Naval Shipyard, following the MILGEM Programme and integrated with °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð’s first national surface-to-surface guided missile ATMACA, developed by ROKETSAN.
