A prisoner died on Thursday while undergoing treatment in 250-bedded general hospital, Brahmanbaria.
The deceased was Mohiuddin, 42, son of Amin Uddin of village Kuti at Kasba upazila in the district.
Superintendent of Brahmanbaria district jail Shahidul Islam said that Mohiuddin was sent to the district jail after being arrested in a drug case around a month ago.
He was hospitalised Thursday morning with chest pain and passed away, later, that afternoon, Shahidul added.
