The labour and employment ministry additional secretary Saif Uddin Ahmed appointed as director general of the Bangladesh Academy of Rural Development on Sunday, said a BARD press release issued on Monday.
Prior to joining the BARD, he served as additional secretary in the labour and employment ministry.
Saif Uddin held important positions in various ministries, including public administration, health, agriculture, local government, education and planning.
He earned his bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in economics from Jahangirnagar University. Later, he earned a postgraduate degree in environmental management from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.
