
The National Museum of Science and Technology has donated Tk 7 lakh and 20 thousands to six science club for scientific publication and science practice.
The director general of the museum, Muhammad Munir Chowdhury, handed over cheques to the representatives of the clubs, said a press release issued by the museum on Monday.
Among them, representatives of the Rajshahi University Science Club and Jahangirnagar University Science Club received Tk 1 lakh 70 thousand for publication of scientific magazines, Dhaka University Science Society received Tk 1 lakh 50 thousand for organising career festival, Barguna Science Society Tk 1 lakh 50 thousand for organising large-scale space camp and Science Olympiad.
BUET Robotics Society received Tk 1 lakh for organising ‘Robo Carnival-2024’ Chittagong University genetic engineering and biotechnology department received Tk 1 lakh 50 taka for organising ‘International Biotechnology Conference-2024’.
Munir Chowdhury said that youth should always be engaged in science, environmental protection and humanitarian work,Â
The science museum is doing nation-building work in ​​the country’s educational institutions and science clubs with a great goal, encouraging young people in various innovative and creative activities and involving them in the practice of knowledge, he added.
