
The Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism Alumni Association organised a communication festival on Friday at the Teacher-Student Center auditorium of the university.
Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, who was the chief guest at the event, said that linking education with industry and economy would create employment opportunities for young people.
The MCJ department chairman Abul Mansur Ahmed urged alumni to stay connected with the department.
Ajker Patrika editor and former professor of the department Golam Rahman, Dhaka University Alumni Association president Anwarul Alam Chowdhury, general secretary Molla Md Abu Kausar, and journalist Syed Ishtiaq Reza also delivered speeches at the event.
MCJ Alumni Association president Md Shamsul Haque presided over the event, while its general secretary Mir Masrur Zaman Roni delivered the welcome speech.
Popular band Miles performed at the cultural programme, following the formal proceedings.
