
National Museum of Science and Technology director general Muhammad Munir Chowdhury urged the government officials to apply appropriate technology in establishing good governance.
He was speaking at a seminar on ‘Establishing good governance through application of science and technology’ attended by 72 government officials at the museum in Dhaka on Thursday, said a press release.
The deputy secretaries and equivalent-level officials of armed forces took part in the Advanced Course on Administration and Development at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre at Savar in Dhaka.
The application of satellite technology to stop river pollution by the imprudent industrialists is the need of the hour, through which it is possible to monitor the proper functioning of the factory’s ETP, said Munir Chowdhury.
Md Sharif Hasan, director of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre, presented the keynote speech in the seminar.
Finance ministry deputy secretary Mohammad Jasim Uddin, public administration ministry deputy secretary Mohammad Salahuddin and power, energy and mineral resources ministry deputy secretary Md Asaduzzaman participated as discussants in the seminar.
