Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will visit cyclone Remal-hit areas in Kalapara of Patuakhali on Thursday.
鈥楾he prime minister will leave for Patuakhali by a helicopter at 11:00am tomorrow,鈥� PM鈥檚 deputy press secretary MM Emrul Kayas said on Wednesday afternoon.
The district administration is making all-out preparations for the prime minister鈥檚 visit to Patuakhali.
As many as 3,27,000 people have so far been affected in the district while some 235 houses were completely and 1,865 others were partially destroyed.
They said that the agricultural sector suffered losses of over Tk 260 million, while the fishery sector鈥檚 losses were estimated to be over Tk 280 million.
