A conference of deputy director of the Bangladesh Rural Development Board held at its conference room on Wednesday.

State minister for local government, rural development and co-operatives Md Abdul Wadud, secretary of the ministry Mosammat Shahanara Khatun and director general of the BRDB A Gaffar Khan, among others, were present at the conference, said a press release.


The conference began with placing floral wreaths at the mural of the founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Abdul Wadud said that the BRDB should play a leading role in bringing the poverty line below 3 per cent by 2041 through cooperative agricultural production and management.

Shahanara Khatun said that the BRDB’s sales and exhibition centre named ‘Karupalli’ would be developed as a museum of high-quality handicrafts of the country.

The DG mentioned that the BRDB had started piloting process in eight districts for cooperative agriculture production and management.
