
The member of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, Professor Biswajit Chanda, called on Institutional Quality Assurance Cells of different public universities to play a role in improving the quality of education and research at higher educational institutions of the country by organising training programmes, workshops and seminars for their students, teachers and staffs.
He made the remark while speaking as chief guest at a workshop organised by the UGC on ‘IQAC’s Role in Improving Quality of Education and Accelerating Mobility: Prospects, Challenges and Way to Overcome’ on Sunday, said a press release.
The UGC deputy director of strategic planning and quality assurance department, Bishnu Mallick, moderated the opening ceremony, which was presided over by director of the same department Durga Rani Sarkar.
Directors and deputy directors of Institutional Quality Assurance Cells of 10 public universities and officials of the UGC participated in the event.
