Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday urged the newly appointed firefighters and divers to be engaged in service by keeping the standard of discipline.
He made this call while addressing as a chief guest at the closing parade of the 63rd batch of firefighters, the first batch of female firefighters and the 53rd batch of divers who completed their training at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Training Complex in Mirpur, Dhaka, said a press release.
Security Services Division secretary Md Abdullah Al Masud Chowdhury was present as a special guest at the event.
Fire Service and Civil Defence director general Brigadier General Md Main Uddin, directors and officials of different ranks of the home ministry and fire service, principal of the training complex, parents of new firefighters and guests were present at the event.
A total of 451 firefighters and 84 divers, including 15 women firefighters, completed their training.
