
International Standard University organised freshers’ reception for Spring 2024 at its Mohakhali campus on Thursday.
The ISU vice-chancellor, Professor Abdul Awal Khan, chaired the programme, said a press release. The vice-chancellor emphasised that the ISU was determined to create and maintain a student-friendly environment providing modern classrooms, labs, quality teachers and others.
He also mentioned that the university took steps to increase English language skills of the students and offered part-time jobs to the undergrads and full-time jobs to the post-graduates according to their needs and competence.
Treasurer, in-charge, HTM Quader Newaz was present as a special guest and Professor Mohammad Ali gave the welcome speech at the event, which was anchored by Syeda Bhumika Mahmud and Sultana Mushfika Rahman.
Among others, business studies faculty dean Professor Monjur Morshed Mahmud, business administration department chairperson Muhammad Kamruzzaman, humanities and social sciences faculty dean and English department chairman Md Abul Kalam Azad, adviser Mohammad Nurul Huda, computer science and engineering department chairperson Syed Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury, textile engineering department chairperson Professor Abdul Based Mia and registrar Md Faizullah Kaushik were present at the programme.
