Dhaka South City Corporation on Tuesday fined seven seasonal rawhide traders for conducting unauthorised trade on the streets, creating obstacles to public movement.
The traders, operating in the Science Lab and Jai Kali Temple areas in Dhaka city, were fined a total of Tk 27,000 in mobile court proceedings conducted between 2:00pm and 4:15pm on Tuesday, a day after the Eid-ul-Azha day, said a press release.聽聽聽
The courts led by DSCC鈥檚 Zone-1 regional executive officer and executive magistrate Muhammad Shafiqul Islam and DSCC鈥檚 Zone-5 regional executive officer and executive magistrate Muhammad Shakhawat Hossain fined the traders for halting movement of public by setting up trucks and vans on roads in the Science Lab and Jai Kali Temple areas. 聽聽
Earlier, a DSCC mobile court fined Tk 47,000 to five seasonal rawhide traders for their unauthorised involvement in rawhide business in Science Lab area of Dhaka on the Eid day on Monday.
