
Three members of the armed separatist group Kuki-Chin National Front were arrested in the ongoing anti-extremist drive by the joint forces from a remote hilly area of Ruma upazila in Bandarban on Friday.
The arrested are God Galri Bom, 31, Sang Khum Bom, 38, and Jefania Bom, 19. All of them are the residents of Ruma upazila.
They were sent to jail through a court order on Saturday, said Biswajit Singh, general register officer of Bandarban Court.
Meanwhile, all three were arrested in the cases of bank robbery and weapons looting.
Earlier, KNF operatives attacked several state-run banks in Bandarban on April 2 and 3. They looted money and firearms and abducted Sonali Bank manager Nezam Uddin. Several cases were filed with different police stations in the hilly district.
As many as 108 KNF members were arrested, so far, following the robbery.
