A man allegedly killed his wife with sharp weapons over a family feud at Bagatipara upazila in Natore early Friday.
The deceased is Sufia Begum, 35, wife of one Asmat Ali, of Hapania village of the upazila.
Quoting locals and relatives, Bagatipara police station鈥檚 officer-in-charge Nannu Khan said that there had long been a dispute between the couple over family issues.
Early in the morning, the husband killed the wife and left the house with his minor daughter, he said.
When fleeing, accused Asmat Ali informed his brother鈥檚 son, who resides in a separate house at the same village, saying over the mobile phone that an issue developed in the house and asked to come, the OC said.
The nephew spotted the body lying in the house, he said, adding that being informed they recovered the body and sent it to Natore General Hospital morgue.
