Three people were killed and another was injured in lightning in Narail Sadar upazila on Sunday midnight.
The deceased were Ratan Roy of Jashore鈥檚 Monirampur upazila, Milton Roy of Khulna鈥檚 Nijgram and Nanda Dali of Satkhira鈥檚 Tala upazila.
The injured, Chitto Malo, is now undergoing treatment at Narail Hospital.
Prodip Kumar Biswas, member of Kalora union parisahd of Sadar upazila, quoting local people said that the victims left their houses 25 days ago for grazing pigs and arrived in the Sadar upazila three days back after visiting different areas.
The lightning struck them on Sunday midnight amid rainfall, leaving three people dead on the spot, he said.
Local people spotted the bodies lying on the ground and another suffering from pain on Monday morning, the UP member said.
Sadar police station鈥檚 officer-in-charge (investigation) Sajedur Rahman confirmed the matter saying that the bodies were sent to the Sadar hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
The bodies would be handed over to the families after completing legal procedures, he added.
