The National Science and Technology Museum organised a mobile science education programme at Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj on Wednesday.
A science lecture titled ‘Role of Artificial Intelligence to address the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution’ was organized on Gachihata Bidyaniketon premises in Katiadi as part of the NMST’s science education extension programme at the marginal level.
About 1,000 students from five educational institutions participated in the event, where they engaged in enlightening discussions on the role of artificial intelligence, said a press release.
A museum bus and a movie bus of the NMST were present in the two-day programme.
Director general of the NMST Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said science museum was playing a very important role in creating interest and passion for science education among the marginalised young generation. Along with formal education, this non-formal initiative would act as a catalyst to make them science minded.
‘This programme of science museum will continue in the remote areas of Bangladesh,’ he added.
