Two workers died when a chunk of mud collapsed on them while excavating a pond with a dredger at Bishutara village of Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria early Thursday.
The deceased are Delowar Hossain and Ali Monsur, of Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh.
According to locals, three workers were excavating a pond at Hasan Mias鈥檚 field with a dredger machine. At one stage, a chunk of mud fell on them. A worker named Atikul Islam managed to save himself.
Sarail police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Amranul Islam said that legal measures would be taken upon receiving a complaint.
