Detective Branch of the Barishal Metropolitan Police on Thursday arrested two members of a fake currency gang along with fake foreign currency and motorcycle at a residential hotel in the city.
The arrestees are Sanu Fakir, 40, and Mizanur Rahman Khan, 30, residents of Barguna鈥檚 Amtali upazila.
The police recovered fake currency of Saudi Arabian riyal from them.聽聽
Sub-inspector Tanzil of the BMP media cell said that the arrestees used to cheat by selling fake foreign currency to people as original foreign currency for a long time.
There are multiple fraud cases against them in different police stations, the SI also said, adding that the arrestees had sent to jail through court.
