
A total of 7,500 passports of overseas workers were burnt to ashes as miscreants set ablaze on Narayanganj regional passport office during the recent violence.Â
Deputy director of Narayanganj regional passport office Mahmudul Hasan said that important documents including 7,500 passports were burnt in the arson attack on the Narayanganj passport office.
‘As many as 7,500 overseas workers are facing uncertainty for going abroad as their passports were burnt in the fire,’ he added.   Â
A case was filed with the Fatullah police station in this connection.
