Protest leaders on Saturday rejected the prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s call for holding a dialogue with them about the movement.
Asif Mahmud, one of the coordinators of the Student Movement against Discrimination, a platform for quota reform movement, confirmed the news through a Facebook post.Â
‘We don’t want to hold any kind of dialogue with the killer government while the dialogue with political party Awami League is beyond question,’ said Asif, adding that if they had any remarks, they could share through media.
‘Our decision stands with the protesting students and people,’ he added.
He claimed in another post that the detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police wanted to take them to the prime minister’s official residence Ganabhabn when they were detained but they did not agreed.
