A Juba Dal leader was hacked to death by unknown miscreants in Demra area Friday night.
The deceased is Abu Sayed, 33, convener of 67 no. ward unit of Juba Dal and a businessman by profession, said in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost Md Bacchu Mia on Saturday.
He said that the miscreants cut his throat with a sharp weapon in front of Sharulia Oriental School at about 11:00pm on Friday, leaving him critically injured.聽 He was rushed to DMCH by his family members, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
The body was kept at the DMCH morgue for post-mortem examination.聽聽
A case was filed with concerned police station in this connection.
