A driver of a private car died when the car鈥檚 gas cylinder blasted while refuelling at a filling station in Kharkhari Kechuatala area under Paba in Rajshahi on Thursday.
The police said that the deceased, Jahidur Rahman Khandakar, 55, was a resident of Gachhiadighar village under Raiganj in Sirajganj.
The cylinder blast left Jahidur dead on the spot and the car burnt, said Ismail Hossain, officer-in-charge of Chandrima police station.
The body will be handed over to the family member following the necessary procedures, he said.
