The importers and exporters have been forced to slow or stop the transport of cargo containers on the Chittagong-Dhaka-Chittagong road and rail routes in the current flood situation. The country's import-export is being hampered due to the arising reasons.
Taking this into consideration, all concerned are being requested to use the inland container terminal at Pangaon in Dhaka to speed up the import and export of the country by using the Chittagong-Dhaka-Chittagong waterway.
The National Board of Revenue is ready to provide full assistance in this regard. Adequate inland vessels of different shipping companies and all kinds of logistics facilities of Chittagong Port Authority has been kept fully prepared for this activity, said a CPA press release.
