The National Freedom Fighters’ Foundation in a statement on Sunday demanded the investigation of former Liberation War Affairs minister AKM Mozzamel Haque.
On behalf of the foundation, the founding chairman, SM Jahangir Alam, alleged that all the institutions of the freedom fighters had been destroyed due to corruptions of Mozzamel Haque.
‘He destroyed the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust,’ said Jahangir Alam, adding that Mozzamel earned illegal money by leasing and selling the land of the freedom fighters.
Alleging that Mozammel Haque is a fake freedom fighter, Jahangir Alam said, ‘He grabbed a lot of money in the name of complexes and projects.’
With the help of director general of the Jatiya Muktijoddha Council, he listed fake freedom fighters in the name of creating a new list of them and earned crore of takas, mentioned Jahangir Alam.
He also pointed out that despite the High Court’s directive to legally control the ministry, he managed it in his own way, mentioning, ‘I strongly appeal to the interim government to investigate these corruptions and take action.’
