The traffic division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police filed 292 cases and imposed fine of Tk 11.58 lakh after conducting drives against traffic rule violators on Tuesday.
Faruque Hossain, deputy commissioner, media, of the DMP, said in a media release on Wednesday.
Thirty-nine vehicles were dumped and 15 others were towed.
Some 4, 000 traffic personnel had been working at 339 points in Dhaka to maintain discipline in traffic movement.
