
The Daffodil Institute of IT’s student Md Ibrahim Mollah has developed a sophisticated application named ‘Bazardar’ to ensure the accuracy of market prices, said a press release.
The application, officially launched at the 71 Auditorium of Daffodil Tower on Mirpur Road, Dhanmondi in the capital on Wednesday, will also act as a breakthrough in breaking market syndicates, the press release added.
Mohammad Nuruzzaman, chief executive officer of Daffodil family, was present as chief guest at the launching ceremony.
Presided over by Professor Sakhawat Hossain, principal of DIIT, the programme was also addressed by Md Imran Hossain, head of computer science and engineering department, Omar Faruk, head of MBA programme, and Laksman Chandra Robi Das, head of BBA programme of the DIIT.
Ibrahim Molla highlighted the significant features through a demonstration. He is also interested in providing the application developed by him to the government completely free of cost.
Key features of the application are, including not only able to inform customers about the correct market price but also play an important role in ensuring the correct price by breaking market syndicates, said the press release.
If any seller at the market asks for additional prices, the customer can easily see the price range set by the government, and it will help ensure correct pricing to users and protect against overcharging, the press release added.
