
Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority has organised a discussion to successfully implement the ‘Silent Zone’ programme to prevent noise pollution at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and adjacent areas.
Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan led the exchange of views with the media at the CAAB headquarters on Sunday, said a press release.
The representatives of different organisations including Dhaka North City Corporation, CAAB, BRTA, Dhaka Traffic Police, Directorate of Roads and Highways, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bangladesh Truck and Covered Van Owners Association, Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association participated in this meeting.
Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan said that the ‘Silent Zone’ programme can be successfully implemented through proper planning and coordination.
Besides, different steps taken to stop the use of single use plastic at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and adjacent areas were also discussed in the meeting.
